I think, write, and create across boundaries.
My book A People’s History of Computing in the United States (Harvard University Press, 2018) is available for pre-order as a good old-fashioned hardcover, e-book, or audio book - check your favorite local bookstore, too. In addition to teaching myself how to code, double-majoring in Mathematics and History magna cum laude, and earning a PhD in History, I’ve studied movement and the performing arts for 20+ years, giving me the expertise to work with television and film. I've cultivated a 10+ year career as a program-launcher, most often at the intersection of education and technology. I enjoy speaking about my work and encouraging writers as an editor. I’m proud to work, write, and edit as a Contributing Editor for the magazine and podcast Lady Science. If you’d like me to write, consult, speak, or edit for you, drop me a line.
